  The main reason that I go to Hardee's more than I go to McDonald's is related to money. I live a few blocks from Hardee's; I live a mile from McDonald's.
  
  My secondary reason for enjoying Hardee's more often than McDonald's is that this Hardee's offers a $1 medium drink, while McD's drinks are all higher.
  
  My body has decided that the Hardee's Thickburgers are not good for me, so I mostly get smaller sandwiches. Their Ham and Cheese is delicious, as is their double cheeseburger.
  
  I do have one major complaint that has not yet been resolved, even though I notified the national Hardee's team about it. They had a November special where all proceeds from a certain meal deal would go to a Foundation. I went in for that Veteran's Day special, ordered exactly that meal (a particular sandwich in a large combo with Veteran-themed wrapppings and cup), but was given a different meal deal (same sandwich, medium combo, with different wrappings and cup) and it was not rung up as a Veteran's Combo, but as a simple medium combo.
  
  I would not have ordered that particular combo because it was so expensive if I had known that the money was not going to be donated to that Foundation. I wrote to the national web page asking that either the money from all of that sandwich's medium combo sales nationwide all go to the foundation (because if one restaurant made that mistake, many more may have made the same mistake); or that I be given a full refund. Neither choice was ever resolved. As a result of this, now that I've used up the whole balance of the gift card I purchased from a card discounter, I am reducing the frequency of my visits to that restaurant, and I am debating asking a lawyer if that is a case that should be considered. I do have a picture of the receipt and what I received.
  
  I believe that Hardee's cheated the Foundation by selling me exactly the same sandwich in a different combo meal.
  
  (Some people might say that the special deal was predicated on each store having the cups and wrappers in their possession. The store said they never received them. (I was given a cup for an expired sweepstakes). My answer to this is that if they were not participating in that special, they should not have had the sign on the counter. I ordered that Veteran's special by picking up the sign and telling the lady that I was ordering this deal, handing her the sign. There was no chance that she could have misunderstood me, yet she rang up the wrong item. I wonder how much the foundation did not receive that they should have, and I wonder if they were instructed to downgrade those orders to medium in order not to make those donations????
